What if you tried a kind of hybrid method of drawing? You could try keeping the rough drafts in a sketchbook with a file name and draw digitally. That way you have the physical book to remind you of projects and tell you which files they are.
Yeah, I know Julie does a lot of hybrid work. I should pick her brain about her systems. A lot of my very very initial sketching- mostly when I have an idea and I want to get it out before I forget it- on paper. (I need to be kind to myself, because I was drawing using the system I had developed back in like 2008 for a very very long time and it is okay if I haven’t got this whole digital art thing fully figured out in 18 months that I’ve been working on it.)
*and still have the fun of drawing on an iPad.
I’m like this with crochet projects. The planning and getting started stage is so much fun, but then I’m stuck with several projects in the looong finishing phase! 🙂 I love seeing all the ideas you come up with, even if some of them never get finished.
