So, last week I posted today’s knight paper doll in black and white. Today, we have her in color. I’m going to be frank and say that I’m really not all that pleased with how she came out.
When I was in elementary school there was a girl, who shall remain nameless, with whom I did not get along. This paper doll has very similar coloring and I find myself disliking her for that reason. Is that strange? Perhaps… I have no idea what happened to the girl in question, but I hope she is happy where ever life leads her.
It is funny how things from childhood stick around so many years later.
Anyway… I recently updated to the latest version of WordPress and did it without break the blog, so go me! There’s still a few things that might be a little different as I get the theme updated, but all the links and things seem to be working fine. Please be patient with me as I work out the kinks in the code. I’m not great at CSS, but I can do it with enough time and trial and error. Still, stuff might look a bit strange around here while I get it done and I apologize for that in advance.
I really like her armor and stuff. I think it’s neat that you do so many different sorts of paper dolls. I’m glad she has a bow. Thanks for the great paper dolls.
i love how adorable her hair is! the buns are so cute!
Thank you, Meredith.
I think it would be really cool if you had a paper doll coloring contest. You could pick a marisol black and white paper doll or another black and white paper doll and have people color it and send in pictures of their work then you could choose a winner. If you wanted the prize could be a personalized paper doll or they could just say what color theme they wanted to see an old black and white doll in , you would even have to do a prize but a contest like that would be fun and it would be cool if you put up how every one colored the paper dolls differently…..just a thought
The idea of a coloring contest is interesting, Ivy. I’ll have to think about it a little further… My fear with doing something like that is that it is a lot of time for me and might not have very many entrants. So, there’s a cost benefit calculation that has to be done. Every extra thing that I do on the blog takes away time from actually drawing paper dolls, so I try to be careful when and how I schedule contests. 🙂
I agree with Ivy, it would be cool to do a paper doll colouring contest! 🙂
well if you ever had time i think that would be a fun contest but i understand if it would not work out. But if you ever did one i would definatly want to partiscipate… if you wanted you could do a contest over a onger period of time like a month or two and then you could collect the paper dolls at the end and you would not have to do a paper doll for a prize…anyways i love your paper dolls!
I think a coloring contest would be fun if you ever did one i would love to participate
I just wanted to say that I am super thankful for these paper dolls! I was babysitting and there was just one kid, but she was a handful! After doing half a million things she decided she wanted do artsy stuff- which is NOT my strong suit- but then we saw this!!! She decided she wants to do more next week!!! Only problem is she is a little picky and refuses to do some. Is it possible you could do a couple more black and white dolls? please?
Hi Mary. I don’t tend to like to “go back” and do older sets in black and white, but I do sometimes when I need filler material or I don’t have something else to post.
